We recently undertook the 3 day trek with Kalu. Our group of 6 family members spanned ages 8 to (almost) 80. The trek was amazing and our guide Kalu was awesome, with boundless energy and generosity towards us. His knowledge of the forest and its people as well as his care for the younger and young at heart made this trip very special. We didn\'t see any tigers but we did find paw prints! The food was also excellent, you definitely won\'t go hungry and the accommodation comfortable. We would strongly recommend this trip to anyone willing to do a couple of days walking and trying some new things. *****

My friend and I booked the 3 day 2 night trek with Preeda through the number on the website. I highly recommend doing this tour. Preeda was an excellent guide, very relaxed and friendly. I really liked that it\'s a tour run by locals supporting the locals. This is definitely my favourite thing I\'ve done on my holiday.

Whenever we needed a break from hiking, he chatted with us about the different things in the jungle with incredible wisdom. He brought us to a Karen Village the first night and a Lahu village the second night. He provided us with in-depth knowledge of the different cultures and helped us prepare our own dinner, using the village\'s ways. The trekking was stunning and the bamboo rafting was great fun. Would definitely do this tour again!!

Amazing experience an incredible human adventure! we left with Kalu, the food, the mixture of landscapes, the small villages in the jungle or the elephants will remain engraved memories forever! 3D2N Chiang Mai trekking trip m 4th sept 2022 to 7th sept guided by preeta. He was a wonderful guide friendly, knowledgeable and best cook . We have 4 of us, we enjoyed the trip so much. When Preeta fetched us from the hotel in Chiang Mai, we saw a handsome guy good in speaking English trying to elaborate more about the trip itinerary to us. He brought us to a local market which we enjoyed it so much at the market . After getting all the stuffs that we need from the market, we continue our journey to waterfall. After played and swim at waterfall we headed to hot spring . I felt a bit dizzy due to the winding road Preeta was so thoughtful let me rested at the car under the shade . I felt better after a good rest and also about lunch hour.we had a cosy and delicious lunch provided by preeta. Bravo We started jungle trekking after lunch. Trek was up and down trail but we managed to reach Karen village after 4 hours walked. Scenery at the village was beautiful and peaceful. Preeta cooking was fantastic, simple but delicious . Day two we continue trekking to Preeta home village, agaim preeta cooked delicious noodle for us as lunch, he brought us to his school and told us how the students manage the school well. After a good rest adventure start again. He brought us to river bank for bamboo rafting, we felt so excited cause it was our first bamboo rafting experience. It was truly fun and exciting. After about one hour rafting we reached Lahu village . We stayed second night here.we had campfire after dinner and some mental game provided by Preeta. Day 3 continue fun bamboo rafting. Along the bamboo rafting journey we sang songs and as well as enjoyed the beautiful view along the river bank. Sadly after happy time we need to head back to Chiang mai city..journey for 3D2N end here. I would like to thanks Kalu and preeta gave us a memorable and unforgettable journey.

As a person who always wanted to know what a primary forest was like, this was an eye opener. We did the \"2 day 1 night trekking Tour\" with Kalu, it was an unforgettable experience! Kalu is extremely knowledgeable about the local nature and the jungle tribes and customs, he told us many interesting things about the plants and animals as well as the local people. He also changed the plan of the tour for us because we wanted to do a bit more walking in the jungle (instead of visiting elephants). He has grown up in the area where we hiked and we also visited the village where his family lives. It was amazing to find out so much about their lives, cook with them and sit and talk in the evening around the fire (and sing with Kalu when he plays guitar!!!)... Kalu is very open minded and very funny, if you are in Chiang Mai then you should definitely do a tour with him!!! Also: the food is incredible, we did not expect to eat so much and so good on a trekking trip! :-)

To start the review of our jungle-trip with Kalu and his friend Chai of the friends-and-family- runned small company amazing-trekking.com, I may say: it couldn\'t be any better. I do trekking in Thailand since 1988 as well as in various other countries in our nature world. The guided tour, this time with kids, age 14 and 16, was brilliant. Kalu showed all the beauty of his jungle to us and was able to avoid the crowdy touristy spots and so called highlights. He presented a bath in a beautiful waterfall, hiking through a cave of bats as well as bathing with elephants and feeding them in the middle of a river hand to mouth, what my kids did with excitement while Kalu was teasing them splashing water. Kalu showed us closely through many different tribes, their villages and way to live. He is known to allways have a fascinating mood which was catching even tired kids, being a clock-round funny entertainer and confident guide, who is able to steer a bamboo-raft savely through many kilometers of white water. He was born and raised in the jungle, made it to study tourism at the university of Chiang Mai, but his place of choice still is the jungle and he is caring for his family an society. His English is very good and his knowledge of animals and plants, of the jungle and meanings of preventing it are as interesting as just to listen to him sing or play the guitar. His friend Chai is complementing the whole trip perfectly and to round it up, the two of them were serving 7 meals within 3 days which are competing with a five star Thai-hotel, the best food I have had in Thailand. My strong recommendation may add his ability to well plan a trip individually. This includes duration as well as walking distances up front the trip or change plans depending on weather or other conditions to be topped with sleeping preferences in the vicinity of the jungle or save and clean huts, with having a shower every day. He is well educated, knowledgeable and speaking good English, but first of all very passionate about what he does. Great sense of humor so lots of fun and laugh. Giving 2 trekking options to clients one hard 7km one easy 5km was perfect we must do this all the time. The next day he pick up us in the morning and we start to swimming at cold waterfall but it’s fresh to woke up . After that we swum at hot spring where Kalu made lovely lunch with banana leafs then we trek to the village. it’s very amazing jungle, Kalu show us a lot of herbs, and animals in the jungle. At night we help him to cooking in the village and we got the best diner in Thailand. Next morning, we walked again for bamboo rafting. We 100% recommended every do wonderful trekking with Kalu. You will worth money to pay it and fun trekking. Bamboo rafting is very authentic and beautiful views. Thank you Kalu for alls 2 day fantastic and we will miss you! A boo jaaa!!!! Michael and Elena
